Origin of Hawaiian Heirloom Jewelry

For over a hundred years, Hawaiian Heirloom has been a staple in Hawaiʻi. Loved by locals and visitors alike, Hawaiian Heirloom features ornate designs with tropical plumeria, maile leaves, and decorative scrollwork. Known as “A Lasting Remembrance,” Hawaiian Heirloom has a unique story, which began with Hawai’i’s Queen Liliʻuokalani.

When Queen Lili'uokalani was still a Princess, she met England’s Queen Victoria, who presented her with a personalized gold bracelet. Upon her return to the Islands and inspired by the heirloom bracelet, Queen Liliʻuokalani sought to create her own. Soon after, she was gifted unique heirloom bracelets adorned with tropical flowers and leaves. Known today as Hawaiian Heirloom, this unique Hawaiian jewelry is now a traditional gift to commemorate special occasions.
