A design created by Kumu Micah Kamohoaliʻi fashioned after his family’s traditional kapa and uhi markings from the island of Molokaʻi. His grandmother’s family are the descendants of the famed royal moʻo (lizard) clans of Moloka’i that trace their lineage to 700 B.C.E. and have a special kinship with the most powerful of all moʻo, Kihawahine.

The moʻo is indisputably significant, powerful, and important in the Hawaiian culture. Mo’o, a dragon or giant lizard, also shares the definition for spine, succession, and lineage. Like the word moʻo-lelo (story), a lei of words strung like vertebrae along a cord of meaning. The word moʻo-kūʻauhau (genealogy), is viewed as the interlocking bones as symbolic of one’s sacred lineage. Genealogy is the origins of where people come from, who we are, and where we are going. Mo’o-puna (grandchild), the succession from the spring of knowledge, the future generation. This design for Kihawahine represents succession, power, strength, guidance, leadership, and compassion.

Shipping:

Orders are typically processed within 2-10 business days and shipped via UPS 2-Day. Orders less than $100 ship via USPS and where UPS is unavailable. Signature requirement is highly recommended for all purchases. If you decided to waive the signature requirement, the customer is responsible for any lost packages or delivery theft.

All Customs and import duties and/or taxes are the responsibility of the customer. Any customs, duties, or taxes that pertain to the shipping destination will be calculated and added to orders at checkout.
Return shipping is not included for any orders.

Curbside Pick-up

Pick up is available at our Design Center in Honolulu from Monday-Friday from 9 AM - 5 PM. Orders are typically ready with 24-48 hours. Once the order it ready, you will receive a confirmation email with instructions. After 7 days items that are not picked up will be canceled and the payment method you provided at the time of the order will be refunded.

Returns:

Online orders may not be returned in-store. With exception of Kamaʻaina and Military discounts, no returns or exchanges are accepted for discounted and clearance jewelry, gift cards, special orders, and alterations. Returns and exchanges for online purchases are accepted if jewelry is returned in saleable condition and accompanied by the original sales receipt within 30 days of receiving the item.

Warranty:

Included with every purchase is our famous Forever Guarantee. It protects against defects in workmanship or materials on our merchandise forever! That means if you decide to pass on your jewelry, we'll still cover it. Lost, damaged, or stolen jewelry does not qualify for replacement under our Forever Guarantee.
